What a staple to the downtown community. Blarney has so many amazing appetizers that it was hard to choose what we wanted. We got the spinach artichoke dip, which is AMAZING!! This Irish pub had many historical piecesto look at. Waitress was so personable. Can't wait to travel back to Toledo to show others this great restaurant!
It was my birthday, we had some people over and I really wanted corned beef and cabbage but a good corned beef takes hours. But I found Blarney's. I first tried to call them for so long, it just rang and rang and rang. I really wanted that corned beef though. So I contacted them via Facebook, and much too my surprise had a response in maybe 30 seconds. Apparently a new employee accidently messed up the phone or something during cleaning. Anywhoo, I got my corned beef, my wife ordered a cheeseburger and brownie, and my eldest daughter got the kids meal grilled cheese. They told me 20-25 minute wait, that was accurate for the meal I ordered. My corned beef was cooked perfectly, absolutely delicious 10/10, I was hesitant on the sauce I was unfamiliar with, however it was amazing as well. The potato cakes that came with were really good too. A little greasy for me, however, they were good enough I finished my complete dinner in maybe 4 minutes. My daughter loved the fries, and absolutely loved the grilled cheese, she even stole some of my potato cake, lol, she loves that as well. My wife said the burger was a 8 out of 10, I tasted a bite and I'd say that's fair. The fries were to soft for my liking but flavored well. Brownie and ice cream was top notch 10/10. We ended up ordering pizzas for the rest of the party they didn't want to wait any longer. I would of given a perfect review, just the phone being disconnected was an inconvenience, I'm sure they will remedy that. The environment was lively, every body seemed happy. There was a band playing, not sure if it was for Blarney's or next door as I just picked up a take out order. I would recommend you try this place. The staff was polite.
Probably the best shepherd’s pie I’ve ever had! We went for a weekday lunch, and it had a relaxed and chilled vibe. I can imagine this place would be buzzing and fun at night! They also have a great selection of alcohol to choose from. Highly recommend!
Went in for a fine Irish meal after a training session for work. Was greeted by a friendly waitress and served a cold Guinness draft. Food was great and finished it off with a baseball game next door. 2 thumbs up!
This was my third time eating at this location and I am finally getting around to writing a review. Before a Mud Hens game we enjoy a cold Smethwick's and dinner. The Patio area is nice during the summer months. Last Friday they had a some what popular band on the patio. The entertainment sounded great but needed to chill so we ate in the bar for the fist time. We have always had GREAT service at this location. The waiter and waitress are quick and very friendly. I think it was the manager who stopped at our table and asked how things were - then brought us a vinegar we needed for the AMAZING fries! My husband tried the Classic Celtic Reuben (Slow cooked corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing on grilled marble rye) that was super fresh and served hot! I always go for the Fish and Chips with slaw - THE BEST in Toledo. Can't wait to visit this spot again soon before a Game.
Had dinner here after the game and I must say the entire visit from walking in the door to leaving was great!! Service was top notch, atmosphere was amazing, and the food & drinks were perfect!! I'd say the new ownership has made a great turn around and will continue to be successful! Great people, great place!! I'll definitely be back!!
Went here before Monster Jam at Huntington centre on St.Patricks weekend and it was the best place to stop to start our day. Our server was Kristen S and she was fantastic. Told her we were from Ontario for the days events and she made us feel welcomed and had real conversation with us. Explained the menu items in detail with her recommendations. Went with the fish n chips and even though every place usually has that on their menu for an Irish establishment, it was down right excellent. She took good care of us and had the extra time because the crowds were not coming in at our early arrival, before our 1pm event. Place is well decorated not just for St.Patricks weekend but great decor through out. Lots of space with outdoor covered patio and clean bathrooms. Great location and easy access to surrounding areas.
Delicious food, great atmosphere and phenomenal service. New menu with some excellent options. The Bourbon Burger and Southern Chicken Sandwhich were awesome. Eating outside on a beautiful night with Carrot Cake as the perfect finisher. Our server Kristen S. Great vibes, attentive and kept smiles on our faces all night. She is awesome. Great time, will be back soon!
Wow! This place has it all. Great bartender (Luke), the best food, and welcome atmosphere. If you are in the area check it out. If you are not in the area it is worth the trip. I will be back with friends 😃
All these years living here and this is my first visit. Nice looking place,exposed brick,lots of local sports memorabilia. We sat at the bar,and chose from a decent sized selection of draft and bottled beers. Nice menu of pub food . I ordered fish n chips and my girlfriend went with Shepard pie. The chips(fries) were decent not as crispy as I would like but good flavor.The coleslaw was delightfully different,maybe some pickle or dill in it. The fish was the 🌟 star. Perfect batter,light n flakey meat, with just a touch of greasy. Would 💯 % come back and recommend to friends. Please do something about the music gosh awful pop drivel. Whiney Houston could ruin a nice dinner. 😆
